The brief
Queens Close is a residential apartment block with 26 flats located over four levels located in Esher, Surrey. The building was originally constructed in the 1930’s and unfortunately was subject to a substantial damage as the result of a fire incident that occurred in June 2020. The fire was attended by the fire service and water was pumped into the property to successfully control the fire. However, despite the fire being extinguished the building was significantly damaged throughout.
Working as part of the insurance team project Sabin Consulting Engineers were appointed to undertake the MEP design and monitoring of the reinstatement works. The reinstatement works commenced in Spring 2021 and were completed Summer 2022.
