The brief:
Sabin Consulting Engineers Ltd were appointed by Bourne Galletly Medical Practice to act as MEP consultants for a project involving a major extension to an existing doctors surgery.
The scheme design included consideration of the challenge to ensure the existing parts of the Surgery remained open and operable throughout the project.
The solution:
Sabin Consulting Engineers Ltd attended the site and performed a visual survey of the entire M&E installations.
A design review of the systems was undertaken to assess the suitability of the systems.
As a result of the investigation a comprehensive set of drawings and specifications were prepared to define the required scope of works.
An assessment of the electrical load resulted in a reinforcement of the incoming electrical supply.
The solution includes LED lighting, air source heat pump providing heating and domestic hot water. Also, the new extension is provided with a new photovoltaic solar installation.
